All High School players: We will not be able to use the field today due to the rain. Please meet up in the high school parking lot by the north gym at 3:30. Get stretched out, and run a 2-3 mile road run. Then we’ll have a chalk talk in a couple of classrooms at the high school.

Organized sports camp has been cancelled for Thursday and Friday. If possible, work out on your own today at the West gym or 24 hour fitness, and focus on chest, back, and core exercises. Take Friday off, and Saturday morning at 10AM is an optional trail run through Castlewood Park. Try to stay out of the cold to avoid illness, so we can start the season fresh and healthy.

For all of those that aren’t on the indoor teams, we will be meeting in the gym again today at the middle school for basketball or any other sport that everyone wants to play. There should be a coach there at 3:30 today, if not, get stretched out and get a game started.

I haven’t heard back about gym availability yet. I’m hoping to be in the gym again today to do agility work and probably more basketball. If we don’t get a gym, we’ll meet at the middle school field parking lot, and we’ll probably do more running and agility exercises, because the fields are too wet to use. Be prepared for inside or out.

We will be doing a road run then using the middle school gym for basketball. We will go from 3:30 - 5:30 or 6:00. Even if you can’t make it out before 5:30, please try to come out at 5:30 to go over a few things, even if you are sick or playing another sport.

Due to the indoor game, there will be no sports camp today. If you are playing in the indoor game, focus on stick skills and instead of trying to score, try to set someone else to score with a pick (Slam or 2) or a clear out (CAMO). I will be at the game and looking for the guys that set up the goals and guys that play good defense and not necessarily the goal scorers. Try to take it seriously, because winning is more fun than losing.
